Dr. Reckeweg R68 Drops uses:

Dr Reckeweg R68 Shingles, Herpes zoster, results when the varicella-zoster virus reactivates from its latent state in a posterior dorsal root ganglion. The symptom usually begins with pain along the affected dermatome, followed in 2 to 3 days by a vesicular eruption that is usually diagnostic.

Ingredients: 

The individual ingredients contained in this preparation are homoeopathic to Herpes zoster:

Mezereum:

Weeping blisters on the skin with a red areola around them, itching and burning. Neuralgia.

Natrium chloratum:

Herpes labialis.

Rhus Toxicodendron:

Intensely itching vesicles and bullae on the skin. Skin is red and painful. Numerous blisters on the skin showing a reddish base, itching, burning and stitching.

Side Effects:

No Known Side Effects.

DOSAGE: 

In acute cases, give ½ - 1 hourly ten drops initially in some water. Once improvement becomes apparent, reduce dosage to 2-3 hourly 11-15 drops.

REMARKS: 

• Herpes that localise around chest or trunk: alternate and Reckeweg R68 also Reckeweg R69, ½ -1-2 hourly ten drops in some water. Reduce dosage as improvement sets. If the associated Lymph glands enlarged, give R68 also Reckeweg R1, 10-15 drops in some water 1-2 times daily.
• Neuralgias occurring subsequently to Herpes zoster: give Reckeweg R69 and Reckeweg R70 additionally.
• In rare cases, it may be necessary to give all three preparations alternatively 11-15 drops in some water every 1-2 hours; reduce the dosage as improvement sets. Topically Atomare-Beckeron Reckeweg R30 may be used. In acute and chronic eczema: compare Reckeweg R23.
• In variola, form conditions give Reckeweg R6 additionally.
